The island of Nalabana, 8 Kms. in circumference occupies a unique place in the vast expanse of Chilka Lake as it happens to be the central point for the birds. Boating and fishing facilities are also available in this lake. Chital and Black buck roam freely on the scrubby shores while Irawady Dolphins gambol playfully in the foam of the churning waters at Chilika mouth near Satapara.Chilika provides a fesat of natural beauty for its visitors to feast on. And with the increasing number of tourists visiting Chilika, it is clearly establishing itself as an important point in the map of Orissa Tourism.
